Chef (MR): Prepare And Cook Meals, Handle Food Supplies, And Perform Various Duties For Organizational Efficiency. Includes Firearms Training.

Steward (MR): Serve Food, Manage Housekeeping, Handle Finances, And Assist In Menu Preparation. Also Includes Firearms Training.

Sanitary Hygienist (MR): Maintain Cleanliness In Washrooms And Other Areas. Also Includes Firearms Training.

Work Culture

Beyond Their Core Duties, Personnel In These Branches Undergo Comprehensive Training For Shipboard Responsibilities Such As Lookout Duties, Small Arms Handling, And Participation In Ship’s Landing And Boarding Parties. They Are Integral To All Ship Operations.

Training 

Successful Candidates Undergo A 14-Week Basic Training Program At INS Chilka, Followed By Specialized Training In Their Designated Trade At Various Naval Training Establishments. Branch Or Trade Assignments Are Made According To The Specific Needs Of The Service.
